If your existing window frames are in good shape then you may be able to install replacement windows as a more economic alternative to new construction. Replacement windows use the existing frame and rely heavily on the weatherproofing qualities of the caulk that’s used to keep the weather out. Shawnee Construction almost exclusively uses Harvey Building Products for its replacement window projects.
Installing new construction windows has the major benefit of replacing the entire frame (along with exterior and interior trim) which provides a much tighter weather-resistant seal than replacement windows. Shawnee Construction uses Harvey Building Products windows for its vinyl window installations and Andersen Windows for its wood window installation.
